Starting from Piazza del Duomo
Head in the direction of Piazza San Lorenzo and behind the San Lorenzo Church you will find the entrance to the Medici Chapels. Start your visit here.
Continue by visiting the San Lorenzo Church.
Now head toward Galleria dell'Accademia, which is on via Ricasoli, and visit the museum with the reservation made with the staff of Hotel Perseo.
Return to Piazza Duomo and visit the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo opens at 10,00 a.m.) and if you are not worried about climbing a few stairs, go to the top of the Dome or the Giotto's belltower. Quick visit of the Baptistery.
Go now toward the Central Food Market, it closes at 2,00 p.m., where you can get a sandwich or have lunch in a typical trattoria near by.
Return to the hotel Perseo for a quick siesta.
From Piazza Duomo, take via Roma and head toward Piazza della Repubblica, the original historical centre of Florence. Keep going straight ahead and you will find the Loggia del Mercato Nuovo with the typical market, and the Porcellino (the wild boar statue of Porcellino) which brings you a good luck.

From the Piazzale degli Uffizi,you reach the riverfront, the Lungarno, and turn to the right toward Ponte Vecchio, the Old Bridge. Cross the Old Bridge toward Piazza Pitti and Palazzo Pitti.
Take the Sdrucciolo dé Pitti and head toward Piazza Santo Spirito. A quick visit and now you are ready to get back: take Via Maggio, cross Santa Trinita Bridge and you are in via Tornabuoni, one of the most elegant street of Florence. Go back to the Hotel Perseo and. get ready for dinner and a good gelato after dinner.
