From Piazza Duomo, take via Roma and head toward Piazza della Repubblica, the original historical centre of Florence. Keep going straight ahead and you will find the Loggia del Mercato Nuovo with the typical market, and the Porcellino (the wild boar statue of Porcellino) which brings you a good luck.

From the Piazzale degli Uffizi,you reach the riverfront, the Lungarno, and turn to the right toward Ponte Vecchio, the Old Bridge. Cross the Old Bridge toward Piazza Pitti and Palazzo Pitti.

Take the Sdrucciolo dé Pitti and head toward Piazza Santo Spirito. A quick visit and now you are ready to get back: take Via Maggio, cross Santa Trinita Bridge and you are in via Tornabuoni, one of the most elegant street of Florence. Go back to the Hotel Perseo and. get ready for dinner and a good gelato after dinner.
